La Lechera

Stirred for six hours in copper calderos. Milk, sugar, lime. Nothing else.

La Frutera

Chinola, mango, lime. The fruit pilones of the campo, made here.

La Cocotera

Coconut dulce, shredded by hand. The kind that takes all day to make right.

La Cañera

Pure sugarcane, the way they made it in the field. Un chin de agrio, toda la dulzura.

Más que un dulce.

Con azúcar, de verdad.

Who are the Fulanitas?

The doñas and abuelas who raised us.

The women who stirred milk and sugar for hours in their calderos so we could taste the bottom of the pot. Their names were never on the package.

Candy del campo. Hecho a mano, stirred for hours, and shamelessly sweet.

La muñeca sin rostro

They started in 1981.

Liliana Mera Limé carved the first faceless doll in the Dominican Republic. No face, on purpose. Because she is anyone. African, Taína, European. All of what makes us Caribbean. All of us.

We put them on our brand because they are us. They are the memory.

Nuestra historia

From Licey al Medio to the USA.

Hola y Helo! Born in NYC, raised in New Jersey. Spent every childhood summer visiting my family's dulcería in Licey al Medio. Dulcería Maritza. I watched them make everything by hand.

That was then. They've since closed and I'm carrying that legacy forward in the USA.

The sweets we carried back from every trip to DR. Now available here, con azúcar, de verdad.

xoxo Michelle, Head Fulanita
